Vinny Vamos

II was born in England in 1986, spent my first eight years there before my family moved to the West of Ireland.

My main drives in love and life are writing, playing and recording Music, Electronics, and the combination of all of them. I started recording music at the age of fifteen in a small garage at my parents place. I soon moved away from using computers when I found my first big old analog tape machine. This was the beginning of a wonderful love affair with this old technology, and will forever be close to my heart. Over the years I expanded the studio and recorded everything from Folk singers to String Quartets to Thrash Metal bands. The Electronics always played a crucial part as this enabled me to fix all this old equipment and make it behave the way I wanted it to. I then started building my own amplifiers, speakers, etc and this really got me a lot deeper in the love affair!

KEX, Rugs, and Rockin on the Dole...

In 2004 I joined my brother Tom's Punk band Vamos (bandvamos.com). Although formed in Liverpool in 1998, he moved to Ireland in 2003 for a fresh start. Over the next ten years we toured Ireland, the UK, and most of Mainland Europe, recorded two albums and a bunch of singles on various small labels, and generally had loads of fun doing it!

So to bring you up to the present! In April 2014 myself and my partner Una decided to make the big move to Iceland, to build an Analog Recording Studio in the East Fjords.... And now it is ready! Www.inhere.is
