Our dream is to publish a book and a CD with Icelandic children’s songs and nursery rhymes. The book is illustrated with 26 colourful paintings that capture the imagination. We started this project many years ago and received some funding along the way to cover costs of art and graphic design and the cost of sound recording and studio time.
Now the final product is as good as ready but we have no money to pay for the book printing and production of the CD. Our ambition is to produce a spectacular hardcover book, printed in colour on high quality paper. We think children deserve only the best, and hope you agree with us!

Several years ago Helga Rut and Pétur Ben made a children’s CD with Icelandic songs and nursery rhymes for the music courses “Tónagull” intended for parents with infants and toddlers. The CD has been popular, which encouraged us to take the idea all the way with a full length CD, recorded and produced in a professional studio environment. The artist Mæja joined the project in 2013 and she painted all the vibrant acrylic paintings on canvas before they were transferred to digital media for the book.

All we need now is some help with the enormous cost of book printing and CD production. In return you can get your own copy of the book with the CD or just the CD itself.
