At Prinsessur, we believe in creating magical, inclusive, and memorable experiences for children and families. This year, we are excited to host a vibrant, community-centered Easter egg hunt in the capital area. With multilingual hosts and thoughtful planning, we aim to make this event welcoming and enjoyable for everyone, especially families from diverse backgrounds.

About the Event

The Easter egg hunt will take place over the holiday period from April 17–21, 2025 (weather permitting). Families will enjoy a day filled with fun, adventure, and laughter. Our activities include:

A magical Easter egg hunt with eggs containing tickets that can be exchanged for prizes. The Mountain Man and Garðabrúða will ensure that every child gets 2 eggs.

Special character hosts, including the Snow Princess, Snow Queen, Mountain Man, and Garðabrúða, adding a magical touch to the event.

Additional activities, such as bubble-blowing, outdoor chalk drawing, and snacks, ensuring that the fun continues beyond the hunt itself.

This event is free, spots are limited. To ensure that every child gets eggs, registration is required ahead of time. Registration will open at the beginning of April.
If you pledge 10€ or more, you will have priority registration and be guaranteed a spot.

Why This Event is Special

Easter egg hunts are a cherished tradition, but many families have expressed frustration with how similar events are conducted. Here’s how we address common challenges:

Equal Opportunity for All Children:
Older or faster children often collect most eggs, leaving little for others. We guarantee every child will receive two eggs (and two prizes), ensuring fairness and joy for all participants.

Age-Appropriate Fun:
With our unique color-coded system, eggs are divided by age group to prevent competition between older and younger children.

Our Team Is There To Help You:
Our team monitors the park to prevent non-participants from disrupting the hunt or taking eggs. Staff also assist younger children during their search to make it more enjoyable.

Continuous Excitement:
Unlike the typical two-minute rush to collect eggs, we ensure a steady supply of eggs throughout the event by continuously re-hiding eggs. This means that no matter which slot you sign up for, you will find eggs. Families can relax and enjoy additional activities while their children participate.

Multilingual Accessibility:
Our hosts speak Icelandic, English, Polish, Ukrainian, and Spanish, making the event inclusive for all members of the community.

No Hidden Agendas:
This event is non-political and unaffiliated with any organization, ensuring a welcoming space for everyone.

Our Vision

Since 2022, our Easter egg hunt has grown into a beloved community event. Last year, we welcomed over 100 children and their families, and our efforts were even featured on the news. This year, we aim to make the event even better, expanding its reach and impact.

We hope to strengthen community bonds, foster inclusivity, and create magical memories for families across the capital area. Your support will help us continue this tradition and bring smiles to even more children.

Where your donations go

Your donations make this event possible by helping us provide everything needed for a magical Easter experience. Funds will go toward Easter eggs, prizes, and snacks for the children, as well as materials for additional activities like bubbles and chalk drawing. They also ensure the presence of our talented character hosts, who guide the event in multiple languages to make everyone feel welcome. Contributions help cover organizational efforts, including pre-registration systems and ensuring the event is fun, safe, and memorable for all families.
