Further Information

Kaasan is an international short film made in Tokyo during the summer of 2023. The cast and crew are based in Japan and many worked together on a theatre production of Pride and Prejudice in Tokyo before filming Kaasan. Kaasan has been in post-production for the last couple of months and now she is ready to see the world. We want to submit the film to multiple festivals around the world and we are hoping to raise enough money for Kaasan to go out and see the world.

Here are a couple of festivals we are looking at;
- Reykjavik International Film Festival (RIFF) 2024
- Sapporo International Short Film Festival
- Japan Indies Film Festival
- 1st Hokkaido International Film Festival
- Berlin Short Film Festival
- San Sebastian IFF
- Cannes Indie Shorts Award

We also want to raise money for screening the film in Iceland by selling tickets to the physical screening as well as the online screening option. Kaasan is eager to see the world and we hope you will make her dream come true!
