Help us continue this wonderful tradition and make a difference in the lives of children from various backgrounds.

About the Event

The Prinsessur Easter Egg Hunt takes place in the picturesque Hellisgerði, Hafnarfjörður over the Easter weekend in March 2024. The event is open to all children in the area, regardless of their origins. We want to ensure that every child can participate and enjoy the magic of this special occasion. To make this possible, we need your support!

How Your Donations Will Be Used

Your generous contributions will directly support the Prinsessur Easter Egg Hunt. The funds will cover essential expenses, including prizes for the egg hunt, delicious snacks, furniture rental, fees for the talented performers who bring the princesses to life, and other necessary maintenance costs. Our primary goal is to keep this event completely free for everyone, ensuring that no child misses out on the enchantment and joy it offers.

If we reach 150% of our goal, we will host a second Easter egg hunt!

If we reach 200%, we will invite another princess to join in the fun!

Our Journey and Stories

Jessica, the owner and creator of Prinsessur, and her boyfriend, Maxime, moved to Iceland in 2020 from France. They are both software engineers and live in Reykjavik together with their cat, Kittly.

Jessica loves to crochet and began making crochet cosplays under the handle Transatlantic Crochet. Her friends knew of this hobby and would invite her to their children's parties in her cosplay and in character. This was such a frequent occurrence that at the end of 2021 she and Maxime started Prinsessur together. Since then they have been invited to many birthday parties and municipal events. In 2023, the team began to grow, adding more princesses to the lineup!

The Prinsessur Easter Egg Hunt began in 2022 with a dream to create unforgettable memories for children. Despite initial challenges, they persevered and witnessed the joy and excitement on the faces of the little ones who participated. This event has grown stronger with each passing year, welcoming new performers and adding more languages to make it accessible to all children in our community. They have countless heartwarming and humorous stories to share, from mischievous kids seeking additional prizes to that one little girl who was more excited to meet Kristoff than Elsa!

Our Motivation

As a children's entertainment company, we yearned to expand our horizons and create our own magical events. After the difficulties brought by the pandemic, we saw an opportunity to bring joy and wonder back into the lives of children. We are passionate about making a difference and delivering enchantment through our work, and the Prinsessur Easter Egg Hunt allows us to do just that.

Guests and Performers

The event is graced by performers portraying beloved princesses such as the Snow Queen, the Snow Princess, Rapunzel, and potentially more this year! The presence of these cherished characters adds an extra layer of magic and excitement to the egg hunt, creating a truly immersive experience for the children.

Our target is to raise 200.000 kr, which will cover the expenses associated with organizing the Prinsessur Easter Egg Hunt, ensuring that it remains accessible and free for all children to enjoy.
