In the summer of 2020, we started working on the development of an app that was inspired by Robin McGraw's idea "Aspire initiative" which is an educational and help app for victims of violence. Our goal with this work is to improve the situation of victims of violence. We presented our idea to the National Commissioner of Police, 112, the Minister of Justice, the Prime Minister and the Minister of Innovation. Everyone was extremely positive towards us and all were very interested in helping us with making it easier for victims of violence to assert their rights. Then Covid19 hit us again, with everything that followed. The main idea, is that the app will be hidden, so it can not be found by another, unless knowing how to search and with special access code.
The project landed in 3rd place in the Golden egg, the biggest innovation competition in Iceland, this past February, in addition to receiving additional awards from Huawei and Vörður.
We then took part in the Women tech incubator organized by Huawei and Womentechiceland and won.
We were subsequently invited to Prague to be keynote speakers at the Summerschool for female leadership in the digital age, which is a course held in collaboration with Huawei and the European leadership academy.
We have people to create the app for us and we are planning a launch date at the beginning of February 2023.
