Further Information

"Pétur Arnar", who ?!

I am an Icelandic singer/songwriter (and currently unemployed architect, but that´s another story) , and have been writing the occasional song since the age of 16 (not counting the couple of melodies I wrote at 4) . And since my first publicly released song in 2012, I´ve been wanting to "do right" by my creations and release them. So after a couple of singles in 2018, where I found my collaborators in recording engineer/singer Snorri Snorrason, Bass player Ingolfur Magnusson and drummer Thorvaldur ingveldarson, who have formed the core of the recording team, along with myself.

A passion project featuring world-class artists.

In recording these songs. I´ve been fortunate enough to get the exact, and fantastic at that- singers I wanted! For this I´m very grateful!
In many cases I perform myself, where I feel it suits my voice and/or I want to "deliver the message" myself, for example where the song may be of such a personal nature that I simply must (as was the case with song #8, Vonarstjarna). I mentioned the "core crew" above. The drummer and bass player are mostly free do "do their thing" over my demos and lay the foundations for the rest. A part from that, I do the arranging and play all the other instruments (Except the Saxophone, of course!).
It´s an organic process. The backing vocalists are accomplished singers in their own right.

How it began: The Eurovision Song Contest 2012

My first song ever to be released was my entry in the Eurovision Song Contest Icelandic preselection in 2012, where it got into the Semi-finals.
This song was performed by me half-sister, Iris Lind Verudottir, whom I had met for the first time -along with my other "new" siblings- only a few months prior!
Thus, the song took on a whole new meaning, as it was titled "Aldrei segja aldrei" (Never say never). That was really nice... ;-)

After producing and releasing 2 songs in 2018, I went to Paris to finish my architectural studies in , but by the time I got back in 2019I realised the "studio bug" had bit me hard and I wanted to do more...
Long story short: HERE WE ARE! ;-)

AND NOW I need YOUR SUPPORT for this final step towards my goal!
Granted, all of the lyrics are in Icelandic (you get two grooving instrumentals as well), but this album will also encourage me for my future musical endeavors, that will include songs in English, and even French!
Thanks you!

Vonarstjarna2018A micro documentary

This micro documentary is in Icelandic with no subs [sorry\], only the UNIVERSAL language of MUSIC! Also there are glimpse of the music video ;-)
The song is a little story about a boy and girl and about his hope that was all but lost at that point ;-)
