My name is Fannar Ásgrímsson. I'm 34 years old and I was born in Reykjavík, Iceland. For the past 11 years electronic music has been a passion of mine and I have released 3 LP's and 3 EP's in collaboration with my talented friends in the bands PlastikJoy and Asonat. For the past few years it has been a dream of mine to release an EP as a solo artist, but somehow that dream was always put on hold.
Last summer I started recording. The unparalleled support and motivation that I have received from both family and friends inspired me and gave me the energy I needed to see this through.
Now I seek your help in order for this project to become a reality. The release of a physical album is expensive despite my best efforts to try and keep costs to a minimum. By pledging on this project you are helping me to make this dream come true and you will also have a chance to receive a copy of the vinyl, private tutoring, an original song made just for you, and you can also get me as a DJ at your next party/event etc.

The name Kid Sune came to life when I made a remix for the Icelandic musician Hörður Már Bjarnason (M-Band). I have always been fascinated with foxes and the name is a play on words for the Japanese word for fox (kitsune). Foxes are a common theme in Japanese folklore and their association with spirits (shinto kami) has reinforced their supernatural significance. The more tails the kitsune has - they can have up to 9 tails - the older, wiser and more powerful it is. The name of the EP is also a play on words, it is called (6 tales) which represents the 6 tales told by the songs, but also references the tails of the kitsune.
Two out of the three original songs on the album feature the vocals of the Icelandic/Finnish singer Liina Magnea. Liina is based in Berlin and is a member of the band Magnea, who have been well received and are now working on their first album.
When I was working on the music I started contemplating as to what I would like the album cover to look like. I did a Google image search for Kid Sune. One image caught my eye, a half finished sketch by the Mexican graphic artist Isaac Contreras. I decided to contact him to see if he would like to design the album cover. Thankfully he was up for the task even though he had no idea who I was. We started developing the idea which then led Isaac to design the cover that you you see below.
