Hjalti & Lara have worked together since 2005. Hjalti sings and plays the guitar and Lara sings and plays violin. They released their first album in 2013, performing various songs mostly composed by other songwriters. The album was a success and the song Eina nótt made Channel 2(RÚV) top charts, becoming number 3.
On the new album, Hjalti & Lara will be performing 11 songs. They have composed 10 songs themselves but one is an old song by Elísabet Geirmundsdóttir. The lyrics are all by Hjalti & Lara except for one lyric which is written by Hildur Eir Bolladóttir.
The album is being recorded in June and the plan is to release it on August 25th, if the fundraising on Karolina Fund is successful.
With your help, Hjalti & Lara can make their dream come true, releasing a CD with their own music.
