About Fjóla
Fjóla is an association for people with visual and hearing impairments. Its purpose is to work for interest and welfare of their members. The association is a grouping for deafblind in Iceland and the only one of its kind.
The documentary
„ Human like you“ is a 30 minute long documentary about the rights of people who have intergrated vision- and hearing imparities, and their fight for equal rights. The quality of life for people with disabilities such as these is significantly reduced and they do not have the same oppurtunities to be valid members of the society.
With this documentary we want to inform goverments and the general public about the circumstances that people who have intergrated vision- and hearing impairities are in, in a positive and constructive way. In the documentary we cover their main campaining matters and seek to answer all the multible questions that we have regarding their improved access to society and human rights
We believe that this documentary will both be educating and constructive for those who watch it, as that is our goal. By supporting our film here on Karolina fund, this film can become a reality and for that we will be forever grateful.
Let these issues relate to us so we can become stronger as a society.
