FUCK ART, LET’S KILL – better known as FALK – is gearing up for a 10-day European tour and needs your help to bring its uniquely powerful brand of noise to the continent. WHAT WE’RE DOING Beginning the 10th of October, FALK’s founding artists, AMFJ (Aðalsteinn Jörundsson), KRAKKKBOT (Baldur Björnsson), and FIZK (Einar Valur Aðalsteinsson) will perform 8 shows over the course of 10 days, while making their way through Germany, the Netherlands, and Belgium.
Performances are currently confirmed in the following cities and venues:
- Hamburg, DE – FSK Studio (10.10.13)
- Bremen, DE – Spedition (11.10.13)
- Hannover, DE – Oberdeck (12.10.13)
- Berln, DE – Madame Claude (14.10.13)
- Den Haag, NL – Cremers/330 Live (16.10.13)
Three more performances are soon to be confirmed in Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Brussels on the 17th, 18th, and19th of October to round out the tour.
HOW YOU CAN HELP By making a donation today you will be supporting Icelandic arts and aiding in the proliferation of a none-too-well-known musical genre by making the FALK tour a reality.
Your generosity will directly fund the essential nuts and bolts of the tour, including ground transportation in Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands; accommodation in cities where the touring artists don’t have a couch on which to crash; and necessary living expenses for the 10-day duration.
The €1000 being sought is not enough to fully fund the essentials of three adults in Europe for 10 days, but it will go a long way toward making this long-anticipated venture a reality.
WHO WE ARE AMFJ is the one-man power-electronics/industrial noise project of Aðalsteinn Jörundsson, featuring a powerful wall of sound under heavily distorted vocals. Rhythmic, loud, and aggressive.
After working in numerous metal and experimental projects, Aðalsteinn decided in the summer of 2008 to couple a selection of his poetry with his experimental noise sounds to create a new project. By the end of that year AMFJ had already made its mark on nearly every Reykjavík venue, raising hell and wreaking havoc along the way.

WHAT IS FALK FALK (Fuck Art, Let's Kill) is a consortium of multi-genred artists, encouraging creative expression, and releasing and promoting the works of its constituents.
The artist assembly and label – the brainchild of Aðalsteinn Jörundsson, Baldur Björnsson, and Einar Valur Aðalsteinsson – was born of a collective interest in creating and releasing the art of the founders and their peers with complete control over the quality and appearance of the final product. To deliver an honest creation to the people that would stand alone and fend for itself.
FALK came to be in a period when no other labels were releasing the experimental sounds that the likes of AMFJ, AUXPAN, KRAKKKBOT, and OBERDADA von BRÛTAL were creating, and the labels that were releasing something similar were doing so according to a tired recipe, with a very specific aesthetic and flavor. FALK sought – and still seeks – to do something different and unique with everything it releases.
THE BIGGER PICTURE FALK’s inaugural international tour is dual purposed and aims both to introduce Europe to Iceland’s experimental noise (AMFJ, KRAKKKBOT) and visual arts (FIZK) offerings, as well as to kick off a period of mass releases for the label.
Late 2013 and early 2014 will see the release of 4 long-awaited FALK albums and compilations, featuring the works of AMFJ, KRAKKKBOT, AUXPAN, and OBERDADA von BRÛTAL.
1. AUXPAN & OBERDADA von BRÛTAL – 2008 Live Recordings – Cassette to be released 09.2013
2. AUXPAN and KRAKKKBOT – Millennium Collaborations - 7” to be released 11.2013
3. KRAKKKBOT – “Blak Musk”- LP to be released 11.2013
4. AMFJ – “Ball” – CD to be released January 2014
While these releases are already fully funded through a generous arts grant awarded to FALK earlier this year, the FALK tour, supported by your generous donations, will go a long way toward ensuring that the releases receive the attention they deserve.
